Turn your TV into a dashboard in a few minutes
You do not need any hardware to start. Open Festaboard in a browser, sign in with your email and a one-time code, and you land on a 6-row by 22-column grid — 132 tiles, the same layout as a physical split-flap board. Type your message, drop in a live clock, and you have a board.
To put it on the wall, press F for fullscreen. The site chrome disappears and only the grid shows, edge to edge. That is the whole trick to turning a TV into a dashboard: a full-screen browser tab pointed at your board.
What to show on a wall TV display
A good wall TV display earns its space. Start with the live clock tile: time, day, and date, in 12-hour or 24-hour format, updating on its own. Add color tiles in white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple to frame a headline, and write whatever custom message the room needs.
If you run a SaaS, the TrustMRR integration pulls live MRR, growth percentage, and customer count from your account by slug, so revenue sits on the wall and updates itself. You can also rotate between your main board and extra saved slides on an interval you choose, from 5 minutes up to 120 minutes.

Smart TV browser, mini PC, or Raspberry Pi
There is more than one way to build a smart TV dashboard. Many smart TVs have a built-in browser — open your board's URL, go fullscreen, and you are done. TV browsers vary in quality, so if yours is sluggish, a small mini PC or single-board computer plugged into the HDMI port is more dependable.
Festaboard runs on laptops, desktops, tablets, smart TVs, and single-board computers in kiosk mode, including Raspberry Pi from a Pi 3A with 512MB of RAM up to a Pi 5, and RK3568-based Android displays. For very low-power boards, add ?anim=off to the URL so text swaps instantly with no flip animation; ?anim=lite uses fewer steps and is the default in kiosk mode.
Keep an office TV screen live and hands-off
An office TV screen should run for weeks without anyone touching it. Append ?kiosk=1 to your share URL and the page drops all chrome, mutes sound by default, uses low-motion animation, and holds a screen Wake Lock so the display never sleeps.
When you edit the board from your dashboard, the change pushes to the kiosk screen in about a second, with no reload. If the tab ends up hidden for a long stretch, the page auto-reloads to recover on its own. To point several screens at the same board, toggle public sharing to get a read-only URL at festaboard.com/b/<token>, add ?kiosk=1, and open it on as many displays as you like — no account needed on the TV side.

Usually, yes. Open your board's share URL, go fullscreen, and the grid fills the screen. Built-in TV browsers vary in quality, so if yours struggles, a cheap mini PC or Raspberry Pi on the HDMI port gives a smoother, more reliable smart TV dashboard.
How do I stop the TV from going to sleep?
Use kiosk mode by adding ?kiosk=1 to your share URL. It holds a screen Wake Lock so the display stays awake. On some TVs you may also want to disable the built-in screen timeout or energy-saving setting.
Do I need a Raspberry Pi to run it?
No. Any browser on a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smart TV works. That said, a Raspberry Pi — from a Pi 3A with 512MB of RAM up to a Pi 5 — or an RK3568-based Android display is a solid, low-cost way to keep an office TV screen running full time.
Will the dashboard update without me touching the TV?
Yes. The live clock and TrustMRR metrics refresh on their own. In kiosk mode, edits you make from your dashboard push to the screen in about a second with no reload, and the page auto-reloads to recover if the tab is hidden for a long time.
